Montclair - Camel on parade

Sights & Sounds: Kings and camels parade in Montclair

Immaculate Conception Church in Montclair marked its fourth annual Three Kings Day celebration on Jan. 11, with a joyful observance of the Epiphany that brought parishioners together in faith and tradition. The celebration began at 10:30 a.m. Mass, concluding with a reflection from Father Benny Prado, pastor of Immaculate Conception Church, and a final blessing.

In his remarks, Father Prado invited the faithful to reflect on the meaning of the Epiphany and its call to follow Christ. “Let us follow the star that leads us to Christ always in our lives,” he said. “Each time we kneel before the Lord, He is there to love us, embrace us, and care for us.”

Following the Mass, parishioners joined a festive procession led by the Three Kings as they made their way outside the parish. Accompanied by mariachi music, the Montclair Community Band, live camels and a donkey, the procession offered a vibrant and communal expression of faith, marking the conclusion of the Christmas season.
