We remember and pray for our dearly departed clergy and men and women religious whose Masses of Christian Burial were held in July:

Reverend James Redstone

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. William the Abbot Church in Howell Township, N.J., for Reverend James Redstone, a retired priest, who died on July 10, 2022.

Former ministry in Archdiocese of Newark: Parochial Vicar of Saint Catherine of Siena Church in Cedar Grove

Sr. Elena Francis Arminio, S.C.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Sister Elena Francis Arminio, a Sister of Charity, who died on July 6, 2022.

Sr. Ursula Mary Kendig, S.C.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Sister Ursula Mary Kendig, a Sister of Charity, who died on July 11, 2022.

Sr. M. Nicoletta Gargano, S.C.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Sister M. Nicoletta Gargano, a Sister of Charity, who died on July 10, 2022.

Sr. Mary Clark, S.C.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday, July 28 at Holy Family Chapel in Convent Station, N.J., for Sister Mary Clark, a Sister of Charity, who died on July 20, 2022.

Sr. Mary Auguste Biache, C.S.S.F.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday, July 26 at Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel in Lodi, N.J., for Sister Mary Auguste Biache, a Felician Franciscan Sister, who died on Thursday, July 21, 2022.

Former ministry in Archdiocese of Newark: Elementary school teacher at Sacred Heart School in Irvington; Sacred Heart School in Haworth; principal at Most Sacred Heart of Jesus School in Wallington; teacher at Immaculate Conception High School in Lodi; assistant to the Provincial Treasurer of the former Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary Province in Lodi; currently serving as the archivist for Our Lady of Hope Province, Felician Sisters of North America in Enfield, Conn.

Sr. Mary Celine Laskey, S.C.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, August 1, 2022 at Holy Family Chapel in Convent Station, N.J., for Sister Mary Celine Laskey, a Sister of Charity, who died on Monday, July 25, 2022.

Former ministry in Archdiocese of Newark: Elementary school teacher at Sacred Heart School in Irvington; Sacred Heart School in Haworth; principal at Most Sacred Heart of Jesus School in Wallington; teacher at Immaculate Conception High School in Lodi; assistant to the Provincial Treasurer of the former Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary Province in Lodi; currently serving as the archivist for Our Lady of Hope Province, Felician Sisters of North America in Enfield, Conn.

Teacher and administrator at Saint Mary Orphanage in Newark, NJ; Saint Augustine School in Union City and Saint Patrick School in Newark; councilor at Walsh House in Elizabeth; Saint Agatha House in Nanuet, New York; Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, N.Y.; and Letchworth Dev. Center in Thiells, New York. Many of these were programs for persons with special needs. She was an administrator at Catherine Mary McHale Center in Newton, Mass. for retired sisters. She held a certificate in Music Therapy and used that in service at Saint Anne Villa in Convent Station, NJ; Ryer Avenue/Tremont Community School in Bronx, N.Y.; Cooperative for Human Services in Medford, Mass. and Shore Collaborative in Chelsea, Mass.
