Sights & Sounds: Catholic schools celebrate 8th grade graduations
For the past few weeks, Catholic elementary schools across the Archdiocese of Newark have been marking a joyous event in the lives of their students – eighth-grade graduations!

Barbara Dolan, the Superintendent of Catholic Schools for the Archdiocese of Newark, had this to say to the young graduates:
Congratulations to the Class of 2025! As these students complete their formative elementary years, their accomplishments demonstrate the mission of Catholic education in the Archdiocese, which is to proclaim the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus, to see each child as God’s unrepeatable gift, to strive for academic excellence, and to build community through compassionate service to others. As these elementary school graduates continue to secondary education, they have the knowledge, skills, and values that will help them to navigate high school and the challenges of growing up in our modern society. They reflect the promise of God’s love and are pilgrims of hope as they continue to grow in grace and a deepening faith. May God bless each of our graduates and guide them toward true success and fulfillment as they courageously embrace the opportunities that lie ahead.”
