The Archdiocese of Newark shares the sad news that Marie Terese (Kerwin) Tobin, the beloved mother of Cardinal Joseph W. Tobin, C.Ss.R., Archbishop of Newark, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at her home in Ontario, Canada, on Sunday, May 23, 2021, the Solemnity of Pentecost. The faithful of the Archdiocese of Newark are asked to remember Mrs. Tobin and the Tobin family in their prayers.
