From the Archives: St. Aloysius Students Vote in 1957
In 1957, the students of St. Aloysius High School in Jersey City got to cast their votes for student officers using official voting booths. The Sisters of Charity, who administered the school, arranged to borrow the voting booths from the city so that students could familiarize themselves with the process of voting. Here, Sr. Helen Maurice, student government moderator, demonstrates the workings of the booth to a student.
