From the Archives: March for Peace, 1966

Rev. Joseph J. Sherer (front left) of St. Joseph’s in Newark walks with other North Central New Jersey clergy in the three-day “March for Peace,” protesting the Vietnam War. The march began in South Orange, New Jersey, on July 3, 1966, and ended in Manhattan on July 5. Holding the flag is Rabbi Sidney Shanken of Temple Beth-El in Cranford.
