Clergy announcements for May 2023

Cardinal Joseph W. Tobin, C.Ss.R., announced the following appointments for May:

PASTORS

Father Juan J. Esteban has been appointed pastor of Saint Catherine of Siena Parish, Cedar Grove, effective July 1, 2023, and ending June 30, 2029.

Father Marcin Fuks has been appointed pastor of Saint Bernard Clairvaux and Saint Stanislaus Kostka Parish, Plainfield, effective July 1, 2023, and ending June 30, 2029.

Father Bernard-Marie Guerin-Boutaud, C.S.J. has been appointed pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Orange, effective May 1, 2023, and ending on June 30, 2029.

Father Tomasz Koszalka has been appointed pastor of Saint Stanislaus Bishop & Martyr Parish, Newark, effective July 1, 2023, and ending June 30, 2029.

Father Jesus Carlo L. Merino has been appointed pastor of Little Flower Parish, Berkeley Heights, effective July 1, 2023, and ending June 30, 2029.

RENEWALS

Father Joseph C. Doyle has been granted a two-year extension to his pastorate at Saint Anne Parish, Fair Lawn, effective July 1, 2023, and ending June 30, 2025.

Father Stephen Fichter has been granted a second term to his pastorate at Saint Elizabeth Parish, Wyckoff, effective July 1, 2023, and ending June 30, 2029.

Father Peter J. Palmisano has be granted a three-year extension to his pastorate at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Parish, Garfield, effective July 1, 2023, and ending June 30, 2026.

CHAPLAIN

Father Moris Montoya has been appointed Chaplain, Knights of Columbus, Star of the Sea Council #371, Bayonne, effective April 24, 2023.

RETIRED

Father Charles B. Urnick has been granted retirement, effective June 30, 2023.
