Clergy announcements for March 2024

Cardinal Joseph W. Tobin, C.Ss.R., announced the following appointments for March: 

PAROCHIAL VICARS 

Father John P. Ginty has been appointed parochial vicar of Assumption, Emerson, effective April 8,  2024. 

CHAPLAINS 

Father Vincent D’Agostino has been appointed chaplain of the Newark Chapter of Legatus, effective  March 5, 2024, while remaining pastor of Our Lady of Mercy, Park Ridge. 

Father Danny Alexis Pabon has been appointed chaplain of the Serra Club of the Oranges, effective  Feb. 9, 2024, while remaining pastor of Saint Leo, Elmwood Park. 

ARCHDIOCESAN POSITIONS 

Msgr. Renato Grasselli has been granted an additional five-year term as Rector of  Redemptoris Mater Missionary Seminary, effective July 1, 2024, ending June 30, 2029. 

Father Thomas D. Nicastro, Jr., V.F. has been appointed chaplain of the Archdiocesan Italian  Apostolate, effective Feb. 8, 2024, while remaining pastor of Saint Mary, Nutley. 

Father Danny Santos Rodrigues, V.F., has been appointed coordinator of the Archdiocesan Portuguese Apostolate, effective Feb. 23, 2024, while remaining pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Newark. 

EXTENSIONS 

Msgr. Ronald J. Rozniak, V.G. has been granted an extension to his pastorate at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Ridgewood, ending June 30, 2025. 

Father George Faour has been granted an extension to his pastorate at Saint John, Orange, ending June 30, 2025.

Father Robert B. Stagg has been granted an extension to his pastorate at Church of the Presentation,  Upper Saddle River, ending June 30, 2025. 

Father Joseph Pavone has been granted an extension to his assignment at Saint Anastasia, Teaneck, for ministry and residence to May 19, 2024. 

Father Kevin G. Waymel has been granted an additional five-year renewal to his release to the Diocese of Las Cruces, New Mexico beginning April 1, 2024, ending March 31, 2029. 

RESIDENCE 

Father Paul C. Houlis has been assigned residence at Holy Trinity, Hackensack, effective  March 15, 2024, while remaining chaplain at the Archdiocesan Respect Life Office. 

RETIREMENT 

Father Canon Felix R. Marciniak has been granted retirement, effective June 30, 2024.

Father Peter J. Palmisano has been granted retirement, effective June 30, 2024.
