Clergy announcements for July 2023
Cardinal Joseph W. Tobin, C.Ss.R., announced the following appointments for July:
PASTORS
Reverend Reinerio B. Agaloos has been appointed pastor of Church of the Epiphany, Cliffside Park, effective July 1, 2023, and ending June 30, 2029.
Reverend Pawel Dolinski, S.D.S. has been appointed pastor of Saint Joseph Parish, Hackensack, effective July 1, 2023, and ending June 30, 2029.
PASTOR RENEWALS
Reverend Canon Joseph Urban has been granted an extension to his pastorate at Saint Anthony of Padua, Jersey City, effective July 1, 2023, and ending on June 30, 2024.
ADMINISTRATORS
Reverend Antonio L. DaSilva, S.D.V. has been appointed administrator of Our Lady of the Visitation, Paramus, effective July 1, 2023.
Reverend Eliseo Gonzalez, O.A.R. has been appointed administrator of Holy Family Parish, Union City, effective July 1, 2023.
Reverend Robinson Herrera, S.D.V. has been appointed administrator of Saint Michael, Newark, effective July 1, 2023.

Reverend Robert Burkot has been appointed parochial vicar of Saint Elizabeth, Wyckoff, effective
July 3, 2023.
Reverend Anthony T. Sarento, Jr. has been appointed parochial vicar of Our Lady of Mercy, Jersey City, effective July 1, 2023.
CHAPLAINS
Reverend Reinerio B. Agaloos has been appointed chaplain of the Knights of Columbus Benedict XV Council #2355, Cliffside Park, effective July 12, 2023.
Reverend Emmanuel O. Agu has been appointed chaplain to the Archdiocesan Respect Life Office, effective July 1, 2023, with residence at Saint Mary of the Assumption, Elizabeth.
RELEASES
Reverend Jose E. Marquez has been granted an extension to his release to the Diocese of Great Falls-Billings, Montana, for a period of three years, ending July 1, 2026.
Reverend Raul Silva has been granted an extension to his release to the Diocese of Winona, Minnesota, for a period of three years, ending July 1, 2026.
RETIREMENTS
Reverend Gerald T. Hahn has been granted retirement, effective July 1, 2023, and the title Pastor Emeritus of Saint Anthony Parish, Northvale.
Reverend Monsignor Timothy J. Shugrue has been approved to be named Pastor Emeritus of Saint Michael Parish, Cranford.
