Assignments: From 1944 to 1969 Sr. Justine taught in many schools in New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia. In 1969 Sr. Justine was elected to represent the US Province at the General Chapter in Rome. She was elected as the Assistant to the new Mother General. She served there for 6 years. In this role she travelled to Chile, Cameroon, France, Cyprus, US, and Gemona. In 1975 she returned to the US and served as Co-Vicar for Religious in the Archdiocese of Newark until 1981. She was then elected as Assistant Provincial of the US Province for a six-year term. Sister Justine transferred to our new congregation, the Franciscan Sisters of Peace in 1986. Since then, she has worked with the poor in Americus, Georgia from 1986 to 1990. She then returned to NY to help care for our retired sisters in Yonkers, NY where she lived until 2003. She then moved to the FSP Center in Haverstraw, NY where she lived until 2011. Sister Justine now resides at Marian Woods in Yonkers where she continues as an active member of that intercommunity residence.

Assignments: After several years of teaching, in 1960 Sister Ann joined three other Sisters in opening a mission in Bolivia, South America. She was there for four years when she was called back to the U.S. to take charge of Formation as Mistress of Novices. In 1968 and again in 1969, Sister Ann was elected to go to Rome with three other Sisters to serve at the Special General Chapter. She was elected as Provincial Superior in 1975 and served for two terms. In 1984 she travelled to Americus, Georgia where she engaged in pastoral work with migrant farm workers. She spent six years in Georgia and then returned to NY to assist in the care of the retired sisters where she ministered for seven years. For the next three years she served as the Liaison with the Sisters at Marian Woods. Sr. Ann retired to Marian Woods in 2011.
