Archdiocese of Newark clergy personnel announcements for September 2022

Cardinal Joseph W. Tobin, C.Ss.R., announced the following appointments: 

PASTOR RENEWAL

Father Aurelio Yanez Gomez has been granted a one-year extension to his pastorate at The Church of Saint Catherine of Siena, Hillside, ending Feb. 2, 2024.

ADMINISTRATOR

Father Edvaldo Betioli Filho, S.A.C. has been appointed Administrator of Saint John the Baptist Parish, Fairview, effective Aug. 27.

Father Diego Navarro Rodriguez has been appointed Administrator of Most Holy Name Parish, Garfield, effective Sept. 1.

PAROCHIAL VICAR

Father Luis Fernando Diaz Romero has been appointed Parochial Vicar of Saint Joseph of the Palisades Parish, West New York, effective Oct. 1.

Father Antonio Santana dos Santos, S.A.C. has been appointed Parochial Vicar of Saint John the Baptist Parish, Fairview, effective Aug. 27.

RELEASED

Father Joseph E. S. Dos Santos has been released to the Diocese of Saint Augustine, Fla., for a period of three years, effective June 1, and ending May 31, 2025.

Father Wilson A. Paculan has been released to the Archdiocese of Vancouver, B.C., for a period of three years, effective Aug. 1, and ending Aug. 1, 2025.

RETIRED

Monsignor William J. Reilly has been granted retirement, effective, Sept. 1.

Father Steven Conner has been granted retirement, effective Dec. 31.

Deacon Edward J. Bowen has been granted retirement, effective Aug. 9 with extended faculties.
