From the Archives: Youth Mass-in-the-Round, 1966

Rev. Robert J. Morris addresses a packed crowd of teens at a special Mass-in-the-round in the school gymnasium at St. Anthony’s, Hawthorne, in 1966. Nearly 500 teens attended the Mass, which featured an experimental setup designed to increase youth involvement in the Church. The altar was placed at the center of the room, and with no pulpit, Rev. Morris walked through the crowd as he delivered his homily.
