From the Archives: Bishop Fulton J. Sheen in Union City, 1953
Bishop Fulton J. Sheen preached a sermon at a Pontifical Mass of Thanksgiving on September 29, 1953, at St. Michael’s Monastery in Union City. The Mass welcomed Bishop Cuthbert O’Gara, C.P., the exiled Bishop of Yuanling, who had recently returned to the United States after 22 months of imprisonment by the Chinese Communist Party.
