School leaders prepare for new academic year (Photos)
The Archdiocese of Newark’s School Leaders Administrative Conference was held on Tuesday, Aug. 20, at the St. John Paul II Youth Retreat Center in Kearny, gathering leaders from all 68 schools within the Archdiocese. Barbara Dolan, Superintendent of Catholic Schools, warmly welcomed everyone to the 2024-25 school year.
Highlights included a talk on “Mental Health in a Digital World” by technology expert and speaker Paul Sanfrancesco and insightful presentations by Cheryl Riley and Annette Miller of the archdiocesan Respect Life Office and Karen Clark from the Office of Protection of the Faithful.
The day included a shared lunch and a Mass celebrated by Father Stephen J. Fichter, Episcopal Vicar of Education, fostering a sense of unity and shared faith as administrators gear up for the year ahead.
