Montclair church celebrates Three Kings Day with parade

Immaculate Conception Church in Montclair celebrated its third annual Three Kings Parade on Sunday, Jan. 12, following the 10:30 AM Mass. The vibrant event, which honored the Epiphany, featured live camels, festive music by a mariachi band, and a lively procession that drew many families and parishioners together. The parade highlighted the rich cultural heritage of the Three Kings, offering a joyful tribute to the enduring spirit of the Christmas season. The celebration provided a memorable experience for all who attended, showcasing the community’s devotion and festive spirit.
“Growing up in Latin America, the Epiphany was always a major celebration for us. But many people in the U.S. don’t know much about it,” said Father Benny Prado, pastor of Immaculate Conception Church. “The parade was a chance to highlight both the cultural and religious significance of the holiday. It was also a way to demonstrate that the Church is universal. Catholics all over the world may have different faith traditions, but we all worship the same God.”
