This community calendar is for parish, school, archdiocesan, or ministry events within the four counties of the Archdiocese of Newark. Submissions are reviewed before publication. Please note that this calendar is not for fundraising events. Out-of-area submissions also will be declined.
Lector Formation

$25The Worship Office is sponsoring a workshop (in English or Spanish) to train* or renew those who serve in the ministry of lector. Topics include:
Importance of Scripture (Msgr. Anthony Zaccardi / Deacon Jorge Montalvo)
Public Speaking (Michael Tedesco / Rev. Pedro Repollet)
Role of the Lector in Liturgy (Rev. Thomas Dente / Jose Planas)
Books will be available for purchase. (Checks and cash only; No credit cards)
This is an adult (18+) learning day; there are no accommodations for children.
Please do not bring children.
No food will be provided.
Fee: $25 per person; $350.00 (14 or more)
*Serving in the ministry of lector for a parish or institution is at the discretion of the pastor/chaplain. The pastor/chaplain should be aware of attendance at this workshop.
