The Worship Office is sponsoring a workshop (in English or Spanish) to train* or renew those who serve Ministers of Communion both in liturgical settings and home and hospital visitations. Topics include:
Spirituality of Ministry (Sr. Donna Ciangio, OP / Deacon Jorge Montalvo)
Communion of the Sick (Rev. Timothy Graff / Deacon Asterio Velasco)
Role of the Extraordinary Minister at Mass (Rev. Thomas Dente / Rev. Matthew Gonzalez)
Books will be available for purchase. (Checks and cash only; No credit cards)
This is an adult (18+) learning day; there are no accommodations for children.
Please do not bring children.
No food will be provided.
Fee: $25 per person (Advanced online registration by 4pm on March 27, 2026)
Fee at the door: $30 (Cash or check only)
*Extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion must be mandated by the archbishop. The pastor/chaplain requests the mandate, in writing, once the candidate has been trained. The pastor/chaplain must be aware of attendance at this workshop.
*Los ministros extraordinarios de la Eucaristía deben ser nombrados por el arzobispo. El párroco/capellán solicita el nombramiento por escrito, una vez que el candidato haya recibido el entrenamiento. El párroco/capellán debe estar al tanto de la asistencia a este taller.
