From the Archives: Apostolate for the Deaf Convention, 1937
Father Stephen Landherr presents an acousticon listening device to Deaf parishioner Nellie Holliday at a convention for the Apostolate for the Deaf at St. Patrick’s Pro-Cathedral on October 17, 1937. Fr. Landherr, a Redemptorist priest and sign language interpreter, was well known for his work in Deaf communities.
