Catholic high schools celebrate Class of 2024 graduation

For the graduates of the Class of 2024 in the Archdiocese of Newark, their recent high school graduations mark the culmination of four years of unwavering dedication, hard work, and resilience. Notably, these students entered high school during the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout their high school journey, many students diligently met rigorous academic and community service requirements. They also demonstrated their commitment to serving others and embodying the values of compassion and empathy.

“Congratulations to the remarkable Class of 2024,” said Barbara Dolan, Superintendent of the Office of Schools of the Archdiocese of Newark. “These students’ commitment to academic excellence, service, compassion, and faith exemplifies the essence of our educational mission. I am confident that they will continue to shine brightly as they embark on the next chapter of their journey. They carry with them the knowledge, skills, and values that will guide them toward success and fulfillment. May God bless each and every one of our graduates as they embrace the opportunities that lie ahead.”

As they receive their diplomas, these graduates stand as shining examples of the Catholic faith. They’ve been nurtured within a community that values and promotes Gospel principles, prioritizing faith formation.

All 22 Catholic high schools within the Archdiocese of Newark are college preparatory. Accordingly, their instructional programs exceed the requirements outlined by the New Jersey Student Learning Standards. Each school is also accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools or the New Jersey Association of Independent Schools.
