Sights and Sounds: Parishes and schools celebrate St. Joseph’s Day

Parishes and schools across the Archdiocese of Newark celebrated St. Joseph’s Day on March 19, honoring the husband of the Virgin Mary and earthly father of Jesus Christ. The day was marked with special Masses and the creation of traditional St. Joseph’s altars, also known as the St. Joseph’s Table or la tavola di San Giuseppe. The altars, often adorned with bread, pastries, and other symbolic offerings, serve as expressions of gratitude and devotion.

The following photos highlight the faith and tradition observed in parishes and schools throughout the archdiocese.
