The Seventh Annual Cardinal Joseph Tobin Award for Priestly Vocations 7th Grade Essay & Video Contest starts Monday, January 27! Contest is open to 7th graders in Catholic school or a parish Faith Formation program. Essays should be 500-1000 words and answer the questions, “What is the Roman Catholic priesthood? How is it a force for good in the world?” Essay submissions are due by March 6. Three finalists will be selected to create a 3- to 4-minute video based on their essay. The winner will receive $1,500, with a $500 bonus for their teacher/catechist mentor. See flyer and newarkpriest.com/essaycontest for details.
