Seton Hall University World Leaders Forum with Nobel Peace Prize Winner Nadia Murad
November 20 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm EST
FreeHuman rights activist and recipient of the 2018 Nobel Peace Prize, Nadia Murad is a leading advocate for survivors of genocide and sexual violence. Her best-selling memoir, The Last Girl: My Story of Captivity, and My Fight Against the Islamic State, is a harrowing account of the genocide against the Yazidi ethno-religious minority in Iraq and Nadia’s imprisonment by the so-called Islamic State (ISIS). On Wednesday, November 20, 2024, Seton Hall proudly welcomes Nadia Murad back to Seton Hall University as the featured speaker for the World Leaders Forum, presented by the School of Diplomacy and International Relations, for this free University and general community program, on the South Orange Campus. For those who cannot attend in person at 4 p.m. in Bethany Hall A, we invite you to view the event through livestreaming: https://www.shu.edu/diplomacy/wlf-madam-leymah-gbowee.html
