Saint Anthony of Padua Church, 65 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ is hosting an organ and vocal recital featuring organist Samuel Gaskin, and vocalist Jacqueline Matava on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at 5:00 PM.
Music will feature works by Bach, Langlais, Liszt, Holst, and Oscar Peterson.
Samuel Gaskin is the organist of the American Church in Paris, and First Prize Winner of the International Saint Albans Organ Competition July 2023 in Improvisation. He is also professor of classical and jazz piano at the Ecole de Musique in Le Chesnay Rocquencourt, France.
Jacqueline Matava is Winner of the American Prize for Women in Art Song 2023. She serves as associate professor of music at Trinity University, San Antonio, Texas and a member of the Voice Faculty at Boston University Tanglewood Institute, Lenox, Massachusetts.
