The Worship Office is sponsoring a workshop (in English or Spanish) to train* or renew those who serve Ministers of Communion both in liturgical settings and home and hospital visitations. Topics include:
- – Spirituality of Ministry (Sr. Linda Klaiss, SSJ / Deacon Jorge Montalvo)
- – Communion of the Sick (Rev. Timothy Graff / Deacon Asterio Velasco)
– Role of the Extraordinary Minister at Mass (Rev. Thomas Dente / Rev. Bismarck Chau) - – Books will be available for purchase. (Checks and cash only; No credit cards)
This is an adult (18+) learning day; there are no accommodations for children.
Please do not bring children.
No food will be provided.
Fee: $25 per person; $350.00 (14 or more)
*Extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion must be mandated by the archbishop. The pastor/chaplain requests the mandate, in writing, once the candidate has been trained. The pastor/chaplain must be aware of attendance at this workshop.
